After graduating from the prestigious Loma Linda University, Dr. Kim spent many years honing her skills across diverse clinical environments in California, Texas, and Minnesota. Her experience practicing in multiple states broadened her expertise, allowing her to master a wide range of procedures from complex molar root canals to advanced cosmetic restorations and dental implants.
It was during this time that she noticed many patients suffered from dental anxiety often rooted in past negative experiences. This realization fueled her dedication to developing her signature gentle technique. Dr. Kim founded Happy Light Dental to create a practice where expertise is paired with true empathy, ensuring every patient feels respected, understood, and completely fear-free.
Dr. Kim is proudly affiliated with the American Dental Association (ADA) and the California Dental Association (CDA), upholding the highest standards of care.

Happy Light Dental was established in 2024 with a mission to bring ethical, expert family dentistry directly to the Hawthorne, CA community. The practice was founded on the principle of No Overtreatment.
