Dentures replace missing teeth: full dentures when all teeth are missing, partial dentures when some natural teeth remain, and implant-supported dentures that snap onto implants for a secure fit. Fit and appearance are checked at every stage, and repairs and relines are done here.
What dentures are
A denture is a removable set of replacement teeth on a gum-colored base. A well-made denture lets you eat, speak and smile normally, supports your lips and cheeks, and is adjusted until it is comfortable.
Immediate dentures are placed the same day teeth are removed, so you are never without teeth. Implant-supported dentures snap onto two or more implants and do not slip.
What to expect, and the four kinds we make
Impressions and fittings over two to four visits; we aim to finish in two. Adjustments after delivery are part of the service.
Full dentures
Replace all teeth in the upper or lower jaw, made to match your face and bite.
Partial dentures
Fill gaps when some natural teeth remain, holding the other teeth in place.
Immediate dentures
Placed the same day teeth are removed, then relined as the gums heal.
Implant-supported dentures
Snap onto implants for a secure fit that keeps the jawbone healthier.
Speaking and eating take a few weeks to feel natural. Pressure spots are adjusted at follow-up visits.
Cost and insurance
Full and partial dentures are covered by Denti-Cal within its limits, and by most PPO plans. Implant-supported options are priced separately, with a written estimate first.
Payment plans are available: CareCredit, Sunbit, and in-house plans for larger treatments.
Dr. Kim's approach
Fit and appearance are checked at every stage so the final denture looks natural and stays comfortable. We listen to what bothered you about old dentures and design around it.
Repairs and relines are done in the office, so a cracked denture does not mean weeks without teeth.
