Dental care for kids from the first tooth: checkups, cleanings, fluoride, sealants, fillings, and guidance on brushing, thumb-sucking and diet. First visits are short and friendly, parents are welcome in the room, and we explain everything in English, Spanish or Korean.
What children's dentistry includes
Baby teeth matter: they hold space for adult teeth, and decay in them hurts just as much. Children's dentistry is mostly prevention (cleanings, fluoride, sealants) plus small fillings while problems are still small.
Just as important is how the visit feels. A child who learns early that the dentist is not scary keeps coming back as an adult.
What to expect

The first visit
A ride in the chair, counting teeth and a gentle look. By the first birthday or within six months of the first tooth.
Brushing and home care
We show your child (and you) how to brush and floss, and talk about snacks, juice and bedtime bottles.
Prevention
Fluoride and sealants stop most cavities before they start; checkups every six months catch the rest early.
Growing up
We watch how the adult teeth come in and tell you early if braces or aligners will be worth discussing.
Cost and insurance
Denti-Cal covers children's checkups, cleanings, fluoride, sealants and fillings. Most PPO plans do as well. We check your child's benefits before the visit.
Monthly payment plans are available through CareCredit, Cherry and Sunbit, subject to credit approval. We give you a written estimate before any treatment.
